Teamleader Logistics

The Team Leader is responsible for the efficient daily operation of the department, with a particular focus on supervising warehouse employees and implementing action plans within the warehouse.He/She establishes and maintains procedures to meet company and customer obligations; promotes and implements continuous improvement; ensures training, motivation, and leadership within the area of responsibility; resolves conflicts and enforces company policies and procedures. Key tasks include:

• Continuously managing team performance; developing employees through training and coaching.
• Responsible for achieving all operational KPIs.
• Assigning tasks and monitoring execution for accuracy.
• Ensuring a safe work environment and promoting a positive team dynamic, resolving employee issues and applying corrective measures where necessary.
• Responsible for making recommendations regarding hiring, dismissal, performance evaluations, and promotions.
• Daily interaction with internal and external customers at the operational level.
• Personnel scheduling to support all shifts and accounts; planning and organizing staff workload.
• Managing documentation of processes followed within the department.
• Training employees to ensure they have up-to-date knowledge of processes, policies, and procedures.
• Working safely in accordance with GXO’s Health & Safety training, standards, procedures, and processes, and actively contributing to a safer work environment for colleagues and visitors.
• Contributing to the structural reduction of negative environmental impact by reducing the use of natural resources (such as energy, water, fuel) and minimizing emissions (waste, CO₂), while supporting environmental performance initiatives.
• Complying with applicable legal requirements, GXO and industry standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

• MBO-level education in logistics, supply chain management, or an equivalent level obtained through practical experience.
• Minimum required experience: 3+ years of operational experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Knowledge of LEAN Warehousing is a plus.
• Ability to work in an international working environment.
• Strong personality with convincing communication skills.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
• Excellent financial skills.
• Broad technical knowledge and willingness to continuously develop yourself.

• Salary starting from €17.98 gross per hour, excluding shift allowance. Depending on experience, this may be higher.
• Shift allowances:
• 06:00 AM – 19:00 PM: 100% = €17.98 gross/hour
• 19:00 PM – 21:00 PM: 125% = €22.47 gross/hour
• 21:00 PM – 00:00 AM: 135% = €24.27 gross/hour
• Travel allowance: €0.23 net per km, with a maximum of €8.05 per day (up to 35 km one-way commuting distance).
• Work schedule: 2-shift (6AM till 2PM and 2PM till 10PM)
